ARTIST PROFILE

My work finds a home in all venues of illustration -editorial, book, advertising, corporate, and internet. I'm happiest using dip pens on fine watercolor paper which I then paint conventionally or electronically in Photoshop. Please check out those samples in my portfolio on the second page.

I've been drawing and painting since I could hold a pencil. It was just something that I had to do. Shortly after I received my BFA in Painting at Mass Art, I continued taking Illustration courses at RISD. Later, I held a number of illustration/design positions in various studios around and in Boston. When I made the decision to go freelance, I never looked back. That was over twenty years ago.
I've been living and working out of my home studio in Hopkinton, Mass., the starting point of the venerable Boston Marathon. A great way to go if I do say so myself!

My work can be seen in many directories: Directory of Illustrations vols. 10 through present (21), Black Book 2001 on, Workbook 25, Showcase 28, and Picturebook 2.

Lastly, I just want to say that I feel the colors of some of the non-computer-painted pieces shown here are not as bright as the printed work due to the fact that I provided the tiffs from my scanner. Please contact me and I'll be glad to send paper samples as opposed to pixels. Thanks.
